Owen’s Second Chance Roast

Some coffees start with a flavor. This one starts with a survivor.

Owen bears the scars of a cruelty no dog should ever experience. A victim of dog fighting, part of his face was taken from him—but his spirit wasn’t.

Owen found his second chance at Stranger Days Street Dog Rescue in Wauchula, Florida, where the rest of his story will be written very differently. No more fighting. No more fear. No more wondering whether he is safe. His days now mean soft beds, gentle hands, love, and plenty of treats.

Owen’s Second Chance Roast was created because dogs like Owen are the reason Roxy’s Coffee exists.

Every scar on Owen’s face tells us what happens when cruelty is allowed to flourish in the shadows. But when you look into his eyes, you also see something stronger than what was done to him: survival. His story is a reminder that the fight against dog fighting isn’t about statistics or headlines—it’s about real dogs whose lives are forever changed by human cruelty.

At Roxy’s Coffee, we believe good coffee can be a force for something bigger. We use our coffee to raise awareness, support animal rescue, and give a voice to dogs who cannot speak for themselves. Owen’s face may make some people uncomfortable. It should. Dog fighting is ugly, brutal, and real—and looking away has never saved a dog.

When you brew Owen’s Second Chance Roast, we want you to remember the dog behind the bag and the thousands of others still waiting for someone to fight for them.

Owen survived. Now his story can help save the next one.

Real Dogs. Real Stories. Real Change.

End Dog Fighting.
